Vizio Internet Television TV HDTV

Internet-ready HDTVs – the next best thing! The demand, the supply and the technology for internet televisions are growing – it’s estimated that the market in the United States for these internet-ready TVs will grow by fourteen percent by 2012. TV manufacturers have been partnering with many popular and well-known, well-visited – websites to provide customers with the internet content that they want. That being said, internet televisions do not give the consumer access to the entire World Wide Web, but most of the widely used day to day sites are available and there’s no need to connect your computer to your TV to gain internet access.
Internet televisions definitely are bringing about a new era in television viewing and use. With one of these – and they’re pretty much all HDTVs – you can do things like check the weather forecast without having to stop watching your cable TV program.
Each TV manufacturer provides its own set of available websites and capabilities. You do, however, need to have an internet connection (high-speed) to access the services from your TV. Vizio’s VIA feature uses the latest dual band wireless networking – 802.11n band – to connect quickly and wire-free to the internet, but it also gives you the option to connect via an Ethernet cable as well.
Vizio Internet HDTVs come with Vizio Internet Apps (VIA), which includes Amazon Video on Demand, Flickr, Netflix, Rhapsody, Twitter, Facebook, VUDU, Ebay, CBS, Yahoo TV widgets and more. These widgets can be launched with the simple touch of a button and you can easily and quickly stream movies and TV shows, listen to music, or get the latest news, sports, or weather without ever leaving your couch, living room or bed!
Another cool feature is the included Bluetooth remote control that has a slide-out QWERTY keypad that allows you to control the TV and type onscreen. The Vizio HDTV with VIA is available in many sizes from 22” to 55”.
