Throughout my adult life there have been a few occasions that I’ve needed (okay, desired) blue or navy blue high heel shoes to go with an outfit. Did I find them? Not usually.
I actually wanted blue shoes to wear as my “something blue” on my wedding day and had a hard time finding blue wedding shoes; I ended up wearing a lower heeled aqua blue sandal.
I don’t know why, but for some reason blue high heels, or any blue shoe for that matter (except maybe a sneaker), have always been scarce. I doesn’t make sense because blue can certainly be thought of as a neutral – I mean look at blue jeans!
Well I think that shoe manufacturers and designers have finally come around to realizing that there’s a demand out there for blue shoes for women and now there are many choices available to buy.
There's also a fashion trend now toward nautical attire and accessories - which, of course, includes lots of blue/navy and white, so blue shoes are a must! Now you can find blue stiletto high heels, regular blue pumps, and even blue suede shoes…
