Every time we go to any store that sells toys my kids beg me to go look at the toys. It’s the same every time – I say “Okay, but don’t ask me to buy you anything because I’m not going to” and they proceed to ask for EVERYTHING and want it all put on either their birthday list or Christmas list. Fine. The list is about 4.67 miles long right now.

One of the first things they ask for lately – and constantly – is a FurReal Friends pet. Have you heard of or seen these? Hasbro makes these Fur Real Friends and some are actually cute. They come in many different sizes and in all sorts of various animals – cats, dogs, pigs, bears, tigers, even ducks! They are all battery-operated and they do something when you press certain spots, like the back or top of the head. The littlest one wags its tail and moves its head when you press its back. The ones just a little larger do the same plus make little noises.

The larger ones do even more movement – there’s a cat that licks its paw, animals that actually walk, some roll over, and a life-size dog that you can actually take for a walk on a leash and it will walk beside you! That’s the one my oldest daughter wants right now. Some even come with adoption certificates.

Hasbro’s latest Fur Real Friends line is called Furry Frenzies. If you are familiar with Zhu Zhu Pets, well these Furry Frenzies are similar to those hamsters, but come in several types of animals, like a rabbit, cat, dog, squirrel, raccoon, hedgehog, and chipmunk. They have wheels and they scamper, scurry , and spin all over the place!

Many of the Hasbro Fur Real Friends toys are reasonably priced and, therefore, would make great Christmas or birthday gift ideas for animal lover kids!

If your little girl (or boy) dreams of owning their own horse (mine does!), then this would make the perfect gift - this interactive pony moves its head, swishes its tail, blinks, and even responds when you speak to it or touch it.  It stands at 40" tall and can even hold a "rider" of up to 80 pounds.  It comes with accessories, and there are other accessories that can be purchased as well.
