Can you believe Autumn is already here? Halloween is just around the corner .... although no child needs Halloween as an excuse to dress up - at least mine don't! There aren't many days that you'll see my three-year-old not in some sort of costume!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate and enjoy with my kids. Going to the local pumpkin patch is always a highlight. Watching their cute faces in awe of all the rows and rows of pumpkins is so much fun and the photo opportunities are abound! At our local pumpkin patch they have an extensive corn field maze created for kids and adults to enjoy finding their way from one end to the other. They also usually have an animal pen with animals such as goats and llamas that you can feed through the fence. Some even have hay rides. The kids just love going to the pumpkin patch!

Right about now is the time of the year when I start thinking about Halloween costumes for my girls. Mine are still young enough so that I still have "influence" in the decision-making, but I still ask them what they want to be for Halloween. The looks on their faces as they ponder their answers and then come up with "I know! I know!" ideas are such cherished memories. This year my 6-year-old is going to be Wonder Woman, and my 5-year-old is going to be Strawberry Shortcake!
