70Intex Waterfall Shade Play Center
Want to keep you kids cool outdoors on a hot summer day? This inflatable water play center is sure to do the trick. It has a mini waterfall (simply attach your garden hose for a continuous water flow) and a built-in slide It measures seven feet long by about five feet wide and is seven inches deep. The only criticism that one reviewer had of this is that there is no plug for emptying the water out; she claimed that you have to deflate it to empty it; however, it would seem that you could just tip it over to empty it out if your don’t want to deflate it. You’d probably want to store it upside down, anyway, to keep the play area cleaner. Parenting magazine rated this as one of the best water toys for kids.
Little Tikes Anchors Away (Pirate Ship) Water Play Table
With lots of moving, spinning and squirting parts, this water toy is sure to keep your child enthralled for a while. It’s constructed from that ultra durable hard plastic material that we (most parents) are all familiar with from Little Tikes. The center mast is battery operated and it has constantly flowing water. Your child and his friends can stay cool while enjoying some pretend play with the water spraying cannons, the anchor that goes up and down with a crank handle, the spinning steering wheel and more fun parts.
Wham-O Slip ‘N Slide Double Wave Rider
Do you have fond Slip ‘N Slide memories from your childhood? You can relive them and create new ones for you and your family with this double Slip ‘N Slide that hooks up to any standard hose. It’s sixteen feet of fun and sure to please a crowd, or just you!
Beach Ball Assortment
Fill up your pool or yard with these fun beach balls and enjoy them on a sunny day (don’t forget the sunscreen!) For the price, these would also make great party favors for any kid’s birthday party, or even a quirky adult’s party.
I did such a thing for my daughter’s second birthday party where the theme was “Barney, Balloons, Bubbles and Balls” and the back yard was covered with these beach balls, plus one was given to each child in their party favor bag (see photo below).
Step 2 Sand and Water Cart
If you’re not quite ready for a sandbox, this is a perfect choice to keep you toddler happily playing. It has legs so it is off the ground, meaning your child will (may) stay cleaner. There’s both water and sand sections and has a lid with tie downs to protect it from the elements when not in use. It also has two wheels on the front and a handle to easily roll it from one place to another. It includes the umbrella to protect your child from the harsh sun and there are accessories included as well – there’s even a shelf underneath that’s a convenient place to place the wet toys to dry after play.
Gazillion Bubble Machine
Gazillion seems to be the name to look for when it comes to bubbles; all things Gazillion seem to have the better reviews from real users. This machine creates 500 bubbles per minute and is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages (well, at least the little ones). Great for sunny summer days and birthday parties. From experience, the best advice I can offer is to make sure to clean it after each use to be sure it’ll give you much enjoyment each time you use it.
