Valentine's Day Gift Ideas For Her
64Valentine’s Day is a special time for you to show your loved ones that you care, and just how much you care. Of course, if you’re in a loving relationship, every day is an opportunity for you to let your significant other know how much you care – and you should! However, Valentine’s Day allows you an extra opportunity to make it special, or more meaningful.
Having trouble coming up with Valentine’s Day gift ideas? My advice would be – as cliché as it sounds - to remember that it’s the thought that counts more than the actual gift or amount of money spent. If you don’t agree, then maybe you’re not in a very healthy relationship – but that’s a whole other article!
If you’re interested in showing off your creative side and want to give your valentine something you made yourself, check out my articles on Homemade Valentines Day Presents and Valentine's Day Crafts For Kids . If you’re not feeling the creative juices running, then here are some great ideas for Valentine’s Day Gifts:
Gift Certificates
Some may think it impersonal, but I think if you give it some thought and get your special someone a gift certificate for something or somewhere that you know he or she will love, then it’s a terrific option. Personally, I love to receive gift cards or gift certificates for things such as a spa visit for a pedicure or the like at a nice relaxing spa, or to places I love to shop, like Target, Macy’s, or Banana Republic. If it’s for somewhere I like to go, then I would love it because I’d much rather pick what I want - but that's me!
Gift Ideas
Not all people are of the same mindset and prefer to receive an actual item, so here are some good ideas for special Valentine’s Day gifts –
- Do you get tongue tied when it comes to telling your significant other how you feel? This hardcover book, “What I Love About You”, is the perfect gift – it is full of fill-in-the-blank pages that help you to say what’s in your heart, from phrases, to short answers and checklists. This would be a very thoughtful and personal gift your other half would certainly treasure always.
- BoldLoft makes these adorable and fun pillowcases, in addition to many other products with the same designs, like coffee mugs and more. These two sets on the right would make great Valentine’s Day presents. The “No Matter The Miles” is perfect for that long-distance relationship – you keep one and give the other to your loved one and wait until they can be together again. The “From My Heart To Yours” features a cute design of a boy blowing a heart bubble with a bubble wand to the girl – how adorable these would look side-by-side on your bed.
- This luxuriously soft and warm Pashmina shawl is hand loomed in Nepal & India and would make a wonderful gift for the woman or women (like mom, sis, grandma) in your life. They are very versatile and come in many color choices.
- If you’re a Peanuts fan, or your significant other is, then they’ll be sure to love this remastered DVD of “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown”, which actually contains two additional specials: “You’re In Love, Charlie Brown” and “It’s Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown.” Snuggle up on the couch and enjoy these classics.
- Of course there’s always the option of gifting flowers, which most women appreciate. A great bouquet of Peruvian lilies, including a nice vase is a beautiful alternative to the typical bouquet of roses. Of course, if you want to stick with the traditional, go ahead and give her a bouquet of roses!
A Few More Gift Ideas For Your Valentine
- Show her how she dazzles you with diamonds. This 14K gold ring is available in many size choices.
- Jo Malone makes absolutely beautifully scented perfumes and colognes which can be layered or worn alone. This one is Nectarine Blossom and Honey. Other scents include Blue Agava & Cacao, Wild Fig & Cassis, White Jasmine & Mint, French Lime Blossom (my absolute favorite!) and many more.
- Philosophy makes wonderful bath and makeup products and would make terrific Valentine gifts. The line of bath & shower gels comes in many, many scents (like Coconut Frosting, Strawberry Milkshake, Gingerbread Man, Cinnamon Buns, Lemon Custard and many more) that smell so good you want to eat them – but don’t! Another great gift idea would be one of the many Philosophy gift sets, such as this Amazing Grace one shown here; Amazing Grace is their best selling fragrance and it is just lovely!
